Summary

Screen2Shot does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no network features.

Screen content

When you press the shortcut, Screen2Shot reads the screen through macOS’s Screen Recording permission to show the area you select. The image stays in memory until you copy, save or cancel. It is never uploaded anywhere.

Files and clipboard

Saved screenshots are written only where you choose in the save dialog. Copied screenshots go to the macOS clipboard.

Settings

The app stores two preferences on your Mac: whether you have seen the welcome screen, and the last folder you saved to.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
